TARGETED TREATMENT WITH THE MAPLe

Through the accurate diagnosis with the MAPLe you can create a specific treatment plan. The MAPLe provides targeted biofeedback on individual muscles on different sides and depths in the pelvic floor. In addition, you can perform local electrostimulation enabling you to stimulate the exact problem area, thereby assisting in the patient’s treatment and awareness of the problem area.

Where to find Password and User name – User name is always Admin, your pasword will be found on the out wrapping of the Box and also on the back of the MAPLe docing station at the botton. Please note down the login details as you will need them each time you use MAPLe.

To set up your iPad, please go to Settings/WFI/and then look for MPFT, select MPFT – this is a secure network between the iPad and the handheld.

Make sure to use electrode gel for the best results, do not use ultrasound gel.

The Handheld will turn itself off after 15 minutes if not used. This is to save the battery.

Did you know that the MAPLe App settings can be personalized? For a rest, MVC and endurance measurement, favourite settings can be saved as a pre-set! Also, for stimulation there are three different programs that can be set as a pre-set.

When wanting to stimulate the Urethra, the probe can be turned 45 degrees to stimulate across the Urethra.

If you want to explain something to your patient, you can stop the treatment sessions with the ‘stop’ button. A new treatment session can be started directly by pressing ‘play’ again.

History treatment details are always saved as Operator view.

After 4 visits to the Physio department at the hospital, I was signed off but there was no improvement. My GP said it was something I would have to live with for the rest of my life which is when I looked for an alternative treatment.
